Dawson, born May 9, 1979in the United States, is an American actress. Her
feature film debut came in the 1995 independent drama Kids. Her subsequent film
roles include He Got Game (1998), Josie and the Pussycats (2001), Men in Black
II (2002), Rent (2005), Sin City (2005), Clerks II (2006), Death Proof (2007),
Seven Pounds (2008), Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief
(2010), Unstoppable (2010), Zookeeper (2011), Trance (2013), Top Five (2014)
and Zombieland: Double Tap (2019). Dawson also voices for Warner Bros./DC
Comics as well as ViacomCBS Nickelodeon's Nickelodeon unit. For her performance
in Rent, Dawson was awarded the Satellite Award in Best Supporting Actress
Motion Picture. And for Top Five, Dawson was nominated to the Critics' Choice
Movie Award in Best actress in Comedy. Dawson was born May 9 1979, in New York
City. Isabel Celeste is her mother and has Afro-Cuban descent. Isabel was 16
years old when Rosario was born. She never married Rosario's biological father,
Patrick C. Harris. Rosario was one when her mother married Greg Dawson (a
construction worker). Dawson is four years younger than Clay. Clay is Dawson's
half-brother. Dawson is also known for her roles in comic adaptations to books.
These include Gail Sin City (2005), Sin City (2005), Sin City: A Dame to Kill
For (2014), Claire Temple (2015-2018) and Diana Prince/Wonder woman on the DC
Animated Movie Universe. The actress also plays the role of Barbara
Gordon/Batgirl in The Lego Batman Movie. In the year 2020, she played Ahsoka
Tano in the second season of The Mandalorian, and is scheduled to appear in the
forthcoming Disney+ original series Ahsoka. In addition, she will be appearing
in Young Rock, an autobiographical comedy produced developed by Dwayne John in
2021.
