Emily Swallow

Emily Swallow (born December 18 1979) is an American actress. Her roles in The Mentalist as Kim Fischer and Supernatural as Amara/The Darkness are her most known. She is also known for her role as The Armorer in The Mandalorian, the Star Wars live-action series The Mandalorian. Emily was also an integral part of the video game The Last of Us Part II. Swallow was born on December 18, 1979, in Washington, D.C. She was raised in Sterling, Virginia and Jacksonville, Florida. Swallow began acting while at Stanton College Preparatory School. She also took part in professional and amateur theater productions. Swallow graduated from Stanton College Preparatory School in Jacksonville in 2001 with an Bachelor of Arts degree in Middle Eastern Studies. She then continued her studies for an MFA in Acting at the New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. In 2008 she made her feature film debut in The Lucky Ones, a military-themed drama. She appeared in two world premieres: Donald Margulies' play The Country House, Los Angeles' Geffen Playhouse; and Mark Rylance's show Nice Fish, at the Guthrie Theatre. [citation needed] She won the Falstaff Award for best Female Performer in 2010 for her role as Kate in the film The Taming Of the Shrew.In 2012, Swallow and fellow singer/comedian Jac Huberman conceived a stage show called Jac N Swallow in which they performed in New York at the Laurie Beeckman Theater and Joe's Pub. The show is about the hilarious misadventures of Swallow and Jac Huberman who face a myriad of situations in their lives, with the same degree of difficulty.
